The Richmond campus of 51¶ÌÊÓƵ is pleased to announce Stephanie Amos as Interim Chancellor. Amos is a strategic, mission-driven higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience in financial operations, campus administration, and community engagement.

Since joining Ivy Tech in 2011, Amos has held multiple senior leadership roles across the Columbus service area, including Interim Chancellor, Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, Vice Chancellor of Strategic Partnerships, Vice Chancellor for Johnson and Shelby Counties, and Executive Director of Finance. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated a consistent focus on student success, operational excellence, and building strong partnerships across education, industry, and local communities.

Amos has led a number of impactful initiatives, including implementing zero-based budgeting, reducing non-payment drops from eight percent to two percent, and overseeing a $35 million multi-campus budget that resulted in $4 million in expense reductions. She also played a key role in launching an advanced manufacturing program for high school students in partnership with regional employers, further strengthening workforce pathways in the communities Ivy Tech serves.

In addition to her higher education experience, Amos brings a strong background in healthcare finance, having served as Director of Finance, Controller, and Purchasing Director at Rush Memorial Hospital. In these roles, she led finance, payroll, procurement, and audit functions.

Amos holds a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has also completed Six Sigma Green Belt certification, multiple Simplex problem-solving certifications, and statewide leadership development programs.

Deeply committed to community engagement, Amos has served on numerous boards and committees and was named the 2024 Shelby County Chamber Volunteer of the Year. Her leadership is defined by collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and a strong belief in the power of education to strengthen Indiana’s workforce and communities.

As she steps into her role at Ivy Tech Richmond, Amos looks forward to listening, learning, and building on the important work already underway across campus and throughout the service area.
