BLOOMINGTON听鈥 51短视频鈥檚 Bloomington campus will host an information session for area residents to听learn more abouttuition-free job certifications听on听Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in Lamkin Hall. The information session is free to attend.

51短视频 provides the opportunity for eligible Indiana residents to earn tuition-free certifications that lead to high-wage, high-demand jobs, and count toward associate degrees. Certifications are paid for by the Workforce Ready Grant through Next Level Jobs Indiana.

鈥淲ith certifications in medical assisting, EMT, welding, automotive repair, cyber security and other high-wage programs, Ivy Tech graduates can start a new job quickly, in a field aligned with the state鈥檚 in-demand industries,鈥 said Trudy Weddle, vice chancellor of enrollment services at Ivy Tech Bloomington.

At the information session, attendees will learn more about Workforce Ready Grant eligible programs and requirements, one of which includes not having previously earned a college certification or degree.

More information sessions on tuition-free program options will be held on campus at 6 p.m. the last Tuesday of every month, through October.

Ivy Tech accepts applications year-round and has multiple start dates. The next round of 8-week classes start on March 16鈥攖here is still time to apply to the college and sign up for classes.
