Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Minimum Qualifications:

A qualified faculty member in Healthcare Specialist meets all three of the following criteria:
Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and
Has a minimum of 2 years directly related work experience; andÌý
Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.

HLHS 113 Course Standard:
A qualified faculty member teaching HLHS 113 meets both of the following criteria:
Meets the Healthcare Specialist Program Standard, or
Possesses an earned associates degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution with at least 5 years directly related work experience; and
Possesses current certification in Dementia Care.

HLHS 117 and HLHS 130 Course Standard:Ìý
A qualified faculty member teaching HLHS 117 and HLHS 130 meets all of the following criteria:ÌýÌýÌý
1. Possesses an earned associate’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
2. Is a licensed Registered Nurse holding an unencumbered license in the state of Indiana, and
3. Has a minimum of two years licensed nursing experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of long term care services, andÌý
4. Completed the required Indiana state department of health instructor QMA course.

HLHS 112, 114 Course Standard:
A qualified faculty member teaching HLHS 112 and 114 meets all four of the following criteria:ÌýÌýÌý
1. Possesses an earned associate’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
2. Is a registered Nurse, and
3. Has a minimum of two years licensed nursing experience, of which at least one year must be in the provision of home health care, andÌý
4. Completed the required train the trainer sessions from the Indiana Home and Hospice Care Foundation

HLHS 117 and HLHS 130 Course Standard:ÌýÌýÌý
A qualified faculty member teaching HLHS 117 and HLHS 130 meets all of the following criteria:ÌýÌý
1. Possesses an earned associate’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
2. Is a licensed Registered Nurse holding an unencumbered license in the state of Indiana, and

Ivy Tech Bloomington campus is searching for Nursing professionals who are passionate about teaching the next generation of nurses the knowledge and skills it takes to be a great nurse. This is part time and range between 6-12 hours per week. Typical adjuncts will work 1 or 2 days in the clinical setting and hours would be between 7am-5pm. This is an in person position in a local clinical site or on campus.

    • Verifying competency of Resident Care Procedures (RCP) skills.Ìý

    • Recording and documenting a complete test battery for candidates. Ìý

    • Conduct tests with confidentiality, professionalism, and efficiency.Ìý

    • Record and return testing results to 51¶ÌÊÓÆµ on a time-sensitive basis.

    • Ensure that the test room setup is compliant with IDOH guidelines.

    • In-state travel will be required.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Licensed Registered Nurse required (must furnish proof of active nursing license).

    • Experience as a long-term care or program director/instructor is preferred.

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel within Indiana as needed

    • Ability to attend training sessions and to complete all training requirements.

    • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, and customer service skills.

    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
