POSITION PURPOSE: Manage all elements of the designated academic program, including enrollment management, program administration, instructional quality, and human resource management ensuring coordination with academic and non-academic departments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, faculty credentials per ASOM 07.01.00 for Business Administration and/or Accounting, academic leadership and management skills.

A qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes:

The Career Coach provides coaching services to assist students in completing their Career Development Portfolio (CDP). Reports to the campus Director of Career Services and works collaboratively with Employer Consultants, Talent Connection Managers, Advisors, K-14 Leads, and other faculty and staff to meet the career development needs of students and to meet or exceed campus metrics.

Major Responsibilities

  • Partners with campus Career Link team and Systems Office Assistant Vice President of Career Coaching to build out campus strategy and plan to meet and exceed related College goals.
  • Coaches track progress of students in implementing their Career Development needs in one to one and group coaching scenarios. Actions taken by students, under the guidance of the Career Coach, will include, but are not limited to the student completing a resume, LinkedIn profile, mock interviews, employer engagement, and engagement with a work-and-learn/job placement platform. Ensures that students complete career development items needed to be prepared for future career and work experience endeavors.
  • Partners with campus Employer Consultant, Talent Connection Manager, Advisors and other faculty and staff to provide pre-Ivy Tech and orientation experiences that reflect items in the Career Development Portfolio.
  • Leads efforts to build awareness of career coaching opportunities at campuses including, but not limited to: building of student CDPs, career exploration, job search tools, work-and-learn and career placement. Partners with aligned campus stakeholders to promote a career development culture on the campus at large. Works collaboratively with Executive Director, Director of Career Services, Employer Consultants, and Talent Connection Managers to deliver presentations, and staff fairs and events. Conducts on campus workshops and presentations to group settings to offer information and resources that support career development.
  • Develops and reports on lead indicators and results connected to Career Development participation including frequency of one to one coaching appointments, Career Development milestone completion, and other pertinent data. Remains current on employment trends and matches those with program opportunities. Develops strategies to track impacts of career coaching on student development and attain campus metrics on student employment outcomes; recommends strategies to improve students鈥 outcomes.
  • Oversees portals used by students related to career awareness and exploration, and student career case management. Leads efforts to build awareness of career coaching opportunities at campuses including, but not limited to: building of student CDPs, career exploration, job search tools, work-and-learn and career placement. Partners with aligned campus stakeholders to promote a career development culture on the campus at large.
