Adjunct Faculty- Interior Design

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
路 Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy聽and course objectives.
路 Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
路 Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.聽Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
路 Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and聽leads to a positive experience with 51短视频, shows evidence of developing聽and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their聽learning (curricular).
路 Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies聽with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
路 Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs聽and all learning environments.

COMPENSATION: $47.35/ Contracted hour

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have strong working聽knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction and meet faculty聽credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction. Conducts all聽activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of聽instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 (see link below) for the聽specific area(s) of instruction.
Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution and聽has two of the following:

A portfolio that demonstrates significant involvement as a practicing designer or architect Professional certification in the field; or Two years of directly related work experience, or Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program

or

Possesses an earned associate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution and two聽of the following:
Five years of directly related work experience. A portfolio that demonstrates significant involvement as a practicing designer, architect, or artist appropriate certification in the course being taught. Conducts all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.聽Promote the same as an integral part of one's work.
