- PROGRAM OPERATION:
- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
- Submit requested information within established timelines
- STUDENTS:
- Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance.
- Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
- INSTRUCTION:
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
- Promote same as an integral part of one's work.
Candidates must upload a copy of their unofficial transcripts (all available) in order to be considered for faculty roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
A qualified adjunct faculty member, including Dual Credit,聽Workforce聽Alignment,聽and a full-time faculty teaching outside their discipline, meets the technical course standard through one of four routes:
- 路聽Meets the full-time faculty discipline standard;聽or
- 路聽Possesses a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman鈥檚 card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and聽competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and in journeyman status for two years or more with experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
- 路聽Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR);聽or
- 路聽Possesses any specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
- 路聽5 years directly related work experience in the field that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);聽or
- 路聽Possesses a current Workplace Specialist License, Technology Education License (Technology and Engineering Education, Engineering and Technology Education), or CTE: Trade & Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing聽License granted聽by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
- 路聽Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR).
Other Requirements: Official college transcripts required upon hiring, and employment contingent on acceptable criminal background checks.
Work Hours:
Day, evening classes based on class schedule and enrollment.
Hiring Range:
聽$47.35 per classroom contact hour
